Comentario# 1

Obesity is an independent risk factor for chronic kidney disease (CKD). Early screening of CKD for obese subjects may lead to more successful intervention and management of CKD. Microalbuminuria (MA) is the first sign of renal injury. Tubular dysfunction may present early in obesity but this has not been well studied. This study aimed at assessing glomerular and tubular dysfunctions and their relationship to adiponectin and oxidative stress in obese subjects.
