Diuretics treatment is important in fluid management but commonly associated with electrolytes imbalances. It has been stated that low serum sodium is a poor prognostic indicator in heart failure and liver cirrhosis patients who are under diuretics treatment in the majority. However, there are few data revealing whether hyponatremia is a poor prognostic factor for chronic kidney disease (CKD) in diuretics users. Therefore, we analyze the effect of serum sodium on clinical outcome in CKD diuretics users.
