. The purpose of the present study was to use a cutaneous wound healing model to evaluate the ability of a single dose of N9-GP to provide long-term hemostasis and support wound healing in HB mice . We and others have proposed that extra-vascular FIX plays an important role in hemostasis and wound healing. We hypothesized that since N9-GP does not enter the extravascular space in significant amounts, it might not improve wound healing in HB mice. However, a single injection of N9GP did normalize the time to wound closure, even though it did not completely normalize the tissue histology.
