I invite healthcare professionals to open debate around the issues raised in my poster, both those relating to research and to clinical practice.

Hi Assem,

This is an interesting study that you provided.

Is there any data showing glycemic control of your patients or HbA1C and infectious status (e.g. CRP, ESR, WBC) in this cohort?

What was the relation between above mentioned markers and proteinuria if applicable?

I think, it will be better to show basic clinical caracteristics of your patient and to provide comparement of subgroups according to levels of C-peptide (e.g. above vs below median C-peptide).

Thank you

 Dear, Dr Yalcin Solak!

Thank you very much for your interest and recommendations.

The level of HbA1c – 8.92±1.5%, mean daily glycemia – 13.3±5.4 mmol/L.

Presence of an infectious disease is a criterion of exclusion from the investigation.

Correlations between serum creatinine and proteinuria (R= -0.7, p=0.01) is significantly direct moderate and correlations between GFR and proteinuria (R= -0.6, p=0,03) is significantly invert moderate.

Concerning your suggestion, we are planning to compare parameters in 2 groups with residual secretion and absence of C-peptide.

Thank you.
