Low levels of 25 Vitamin D (25VD) have been described in general population and chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients (Pts). In these 25VD deficit has been related to higher mortality and End Stage Renal Disease rates. The importance of 25VD action exceeds mineral metabolism and has also been related to a reduction of the inflammatory state
